Small Artist Grant Applications

Funding for Individual Artists’ Projects and Workshops for Creatives 2016

Small grants support the creation of new art in the town of Crested Butte, instruction in the arts, and professional development for creatives living or working in Crested Butte. The small grants program is funded and administered by the Crested Butte Creative District. The Grant Selection Committee has chosen following four artist for the 2016 grant cycle. Applications are embedded below for further details.

Josh Legere, Rest + Relax in Crested Butte – proposal to install a bench made with repurposed skis for a site-specific location. The bench will include the Creative District logo.

Jeremy Rubingh, Red Promise – proposal to paint a lamp post red to honor the Red Lady and the long pursuit of the environmental protection of Mt. Emmons. 

William Tintera, Steve Glazer Art Collection Sign – proposal to produce a wooden sign for an art collection to be displayed at the Center of the Arts including recognition of the Crested Butte Creative District.

Sophia Chudacoff, Modern Folk Songs of the Valley  proposal to compose music and choreograph dancers for a free public performance.
